Good evening everyone, just an update Iād like to share with you guys š
Firstly, as some may know I have closed my books and will be re opening them on the 1st of October to book for January. I was booked through December 1.5 months ago and I felt that taking bookings for January then was far too far ahead and just wanted to slow things down especially with the Christmas period.
Which brings me to my next update, as much as it paints me to do so, and this has been a topic of conversation and have been putting it off for a long while now, but the time has come for our day rate to rise. I have been doing days based on 500 for 8 years now, I have always stuck to it as although we all need to make a living I still wanted to be relatively affordable. But as things do, expenses have risen a lot in comparison to 8 years ago, and especially with the innovation in equipment over the past few years and even general things we have no control over like CPI on rent, taxes, power ect, for example 8 years ago I remember it costing around 28$ for a box of 50 top of the line branded needles, now for the modern equivalent, I pay around 36-49$ for 20! All of these changes are minimal at first but they do add up. Not only that, but our skills have undoubtedly improved and the service we provide from artwork to equipment to aftercare have all risen and our price has not. So as of 2020, days will be based on 600 and all other increments of time will be priced accordingly, Hopefully you guys understand and we thank you for your unrelenting support. Lastly, Iād like to discuss Facebook. It is a wonderful tool, but we cannot be glued to it most of the day sometimes barely at all, if you need us urgently PLEASE pick up the phone or better yet call in and see us. At this stage we will continue as is but we have floated the idea of all appointments needing to be made in person with deposits unless you are a veteran repeat customer. But for now, we will continue as we are. Again, cannot stress enough how appreciate I, and the team are of your continued support and business. We would not be able to do the cool s**t we do without your trust, and your skin. Can not wait to see what the future holds š cheers!
