Rehearsal shots from Saturday's St John Passion! Only four hours to rehearse the entire work together — high pressure, but great fun!

Bach's St John Passion — rehearsed and performed in a single day!

An inspiring, exhausting, deeply moving experience, made all the sweeter by doing it alongside friends and colleagues who share the same joy in what Bach's music can do.

More to come!

Just under two weeks until the Sydney Cantata Project performs Bach's St John Passion — reconstructed as it would have been heard at the 1724 Leipzig Good Friday Vespers, with organ chorales, congregational hymns, and the Passion story unfolding between them.

Saturday 29 August, 3pm, Shore School Chapel, North Sydney.
