🎭 WMTC Memories – 2010 🎶

2010 was a year of small-town charm, big personalities and plenty of unforgettable music at WMTC!

We kicked things off with Bye Bye Birdie — full of teenage excitement, rock ’n’ roll and the chaos that follows when a superstar comes to town. 💋🎤

Then it was time to head to River City for The Music Man, with its colourful characters, wonderful melodies and a certain fast-talking salesman who had everyone thinking about 76 trombones! 🎺🥁

Two very different shows, but both filled with the fun, friendship and shared love of theatre that have been such an important part of WMTC over the years.

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures in our WMTC family! 💙🎭

To the dads who drive to rehearsals, help learn lines, build and move sets, fix costumes, carry props, volunteer backstage, applaud from the audience and support every crazy theatrical adventure — thank you for being the heroes behind so much of our magic.

We hope you have a very happy Father’s Day! 🌟

⭐️Free set pieces available⭐️
We have a free standing door, 9 white chair/desks on wheels and 1 brown unpainted one, and a ‘magic’ disappearing box. We need to give them away by Saturday 19th September.
Used in our recent Wimoy kid show but all items could be repainted. Chairs would suit shows like Matilda, High School Musical or other school based shows.

🎭 WMTC Turns 30 — Remembering 2009! 🎶

Our trip down memory lane takes us to 2009, when WMTC brought two very different favourites to the stage — the comic operetta The Pirates of Penzance and the ever-popular Grease! 🏴‍☠️⚓💗

From pirates, policemen and plenty of Gilbert & Sullivan fun to leather jackets, Pink Ladies and the rock ’n’ roll energy of Rydell High, 2009 was another wonderfully varied year in WMTC’s history.

🎉 And don’t forget, we’ll be celebrating 30 years of WMTC at our special anniversary dinner on Friday 28 August. We can’t wait to celebrate the people, productions and friendships that have shaped our company over the years.

WMTC THROUGH THE YEARS — 2008 🎭
2008 was a big year for WMTC, with two very different musicals taking to the stage!
🔔 The Hunchback of Notre Dame transported audiences to the streets and towers of Paris with its dramatic story, memorable characters and powerful music.
🪩 Thoroughly Modern Millie brought plenty of sparkle, comedy and 1920s flair, with toe-tapping songs and high-energy fun!
Two shows. Two completely different worlds. One more memorable year in 30 years of WMTC theatre-making. ❤️🎶

If you’ve been meaning to book your place at our WMTC 30th Anniversary Dinner, you’ve got a few extra days!

We’ve checked with the venue and are able to extend our final RSVP and payment deadline until 7pm this Thursday, 13 August. 🥳
