Congratulations to Options Theatre Company Team Member, Jessica Irwin, who is heading off to Canada to represent Australia as a Keynote Speaker at The TEDx 2026 Conference in Canada.

Jess was the Australian winner of the Global Ideas Search in 2025 where she competed in an event aimed at finding new voices to join the main TED2026 Conference stage. Not surprisingly, Jess blew the judges away and we wish her every success in Canada.

A Big THANKYOU to everyone who worked so hard to bring the magic of The Wizard of Oz to the stage at Laycock Street Community Theatre.

So many moving parts have to come together seamlessly to bring an amazing show like this to life! Bravo to our wonderful Actors, Dancers and Singers who gave their best performances, to our Sound, Lighting and backstage Technical Team, to our choreographers, photographers, costume and set designers, hair and makeup artists, support workers, drivers and the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes. You all brought so much passion to this production and it showed.

Our wonderful Musical Director, Andrew Sampford, delivered mesmerising music and vocals as well as mind blowing special effects, and of course the Audience who clapped and cheered … without you, this would have just been another rehearsal!

A HUGE round of applause for the True Wizard Behind the Curtain, our Artistic Director, Stuart Smith, who gave the courage, the wisdom and the love to our Cast and Crew to bring this show home!
