'I’ve been developing three of my seven acres of rural land since September, 2009, into an eco-oriented camping complex, complete with its own natural amphitheater. My site overlooks the valley to Mount Mitta

matite opposite. Sweeping views for approximately 50 km’s to the north east and west give visitors unforgettable vistas of the picturesque surrounds. Located right on the Murray Valley Highway, eight km’s east of Corryong township makes it easy to find. Camping facilities are purposely rustic, affording guests an authentic “back to basics” experience. My camp kitchen features an open fireplace from which many, many delicious camp-oven meals have been produced. An antique functional Metters word stove is also available. A microwave oven, toaster, jug and stainless steel sink as well as power point outlets for phone charging are provided. Limited cold tank water only available at the sink, so please bring your own drinking water if possible. All welcome: Third Sunday of the month get-togethers with musician and bush poet friends are very popular in the highly congenial open fire atmosphere – from 3pm onwards. Shared evening meals play a large part in the mutual enjoyment. A carpenter by trade, I have personally constructed 90% of the entire project, recycling most of the materials used. The camp area has 10 powered sites plus 10 unpowered sites, but can accommodate multiple self-contained units as required. Fully approved septic toilets and bush (canvas bags) showers are installed. Very moderate camping rates apply – pets are welcome. The venue is designed for multi-purpose use and makes for an ideal base-camp for the surrounding regions'. Maurie Foun.
