This in person digital art class is all about giving you the tools and practice to draw, paint, create exactly what you want. You learn the how and why behind creating art. You don't have to have any experience with art or digital art to attend the class. With each term having a theme picked out by the students attending the class last term, you will get a chance to play with and learn a wide range of techniques, topics, and styles. Some previous term themes: landscapes, animals and combining them to create something new, portraits (both cartoon/anime, and more realistic style), brush creation, perspective/ alien city.
The term is formatted beginning with learning and practicing the main themes and techniques. The students then plan out a drawing/painting that they will work on for the remainder of the term using the skills that they learnt. Each lesson starts with a warmup to help warm up our drawing muscles and get into the mind set of creativity. Some examples: 5 min emoji warm up where you use 3 emojis as a prompt for what to draw. Another warmup where the students pick a brush/pen for the person next to them to draw with for 5 minutes.

Tuesdays 4.00 – 5.00pm commencing Tuesday the 28th April
Format:
8 x 1 hour weekly lessons followed by a 1 x 2 hour final lesson which includes a breakup party.
