Hello all our fishy friends!!!

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve finally got some of your favourite fishy fry ready for new homes!!!

Up for grabs are our beautiful Polit cichlids and we’ve also got some assorted peacock fry ready. The fry are currently around the 4cm mark. They are eating well and are soon to start colouring up!!

The fry will be homed unsexed and aren’t showing colour just yet.
**Please do keep in mind that if you have larger cichlids, these guys might end up eaten, so we recommend keeping them separated from your bigger cichlids until they can no longer fit in their mouths.**

Please feel free to message us privately for the prices of the fry and also tell us how many you are after.

(Here are a few photos of the fathers of the fry)

These will be around the 5cm mark for $10 each (unsexed)

A little bit of info about the Mara Rock Peacock (Protomelas spilonotus ‘Mara Rocks’

Mara Rocks are one of the many varieties of peacock cichlids. So they are too a lake Malawi African cichlid. They will grow to around 4-6 inches and are semi aggressive. Best kept with other peacocks and other lake Malawi cichlids.

They are omnivores and will typically accept whatever cichlid pellets or flakes you offer them. The males are the more colourful ones. They sport a blue body with a signature yellow crest. Females also sport the yellow crest, but they are duller and mor of a grey colour.

Make sure that your tank is large enough to accomodate these spectacular fish, who prefer to have lots of swimming space.

Another fish who we are trying to see how many people would be interested in! These are the dads of our Assorted peacocks!!!

These will be around the 5cm mark for $7 each (unsexed)

A little bit more info about Peacocks::

Peacock cichlids are a lake Malawi African cichlid. Come in a lot of different colours and varieties. Peacock cichlids can grow quite large if given an adequate tank, but they’ll typically grow to about 4-6 inches.

Peacocks are relatively easy top keep and are a semi aggressive cichlid. Compatible tank mates for the peacock are typically other lake Malawi African cichlids and other peacocks. Males are usually the more colourful, while females will look a bit dull and colourless. They are an omnivore, making it rather easy to feed them as they’ll accept almost anything you toss in for them.

Their rainbow colours are sure to make your tank absolutely pop with moving colours.

***Expression of Interest***

We’ve got quite a few fry from our beautiful Polits (Pseudotropheus polit). We’re trying to see how many people would be interested in having some of the fry.

Will be around the 5cm mark at $10 each (unsexed)

A little bit of info on Polits::

This is a beautiful Africa cichlids from lake Malawi. It’s quite small in size, only reaching around 3-4 inches. Be warned though it can be a nasty little cichlid and its best to keep it with other lake Malawi mbunas. Dominant males are a white colour with a black mask, while females are a rusty brown colour.

As always, with cichlids, make sure your tank is big enough for your cichlids to get away from each other when aggression does come about. Polits are a herbivores, so make sure to provide plenty of veggies and algae wafers.
