Hi, AKD Props will be at the Renegade Mega Market on Friday 13th VIP night, Sat 14th and Sun 15th November 2026 @ the Murry Stadium Townsville. This is a handmade markets so I’m only taking our handmade products which includes our board gaming/arcade/pinball accessories, some homewares and our man cave/she shed props.

I’ll post some product build photos and details up soon which I also promised in earlier posts (sorry I've been a busy seeing the world).

Hi, Medieval Fest is over and done. I had great time catching up with friends. Unfortunately, that is it for me, no more attending conventions or festivals as a vendor, I don’t have the time or energy to keep setting up and attending these events. I will only now attend these events in cosplay or as a volunteer support staff. Also I want to say thanks to my two good friends for helping me out post and pre-medieval event, Osakira and Jerry.

My fabrication/design shop will continue as I have products that are in demand as this moment, flat-pack arcade/virtual pinball cabinets. I will also do pop-up small vendor stalls at Willows/Northshore/Strand Markets when I’m free on selected dates.

Now I’ve got some more spare time I will get back to my hobby groups - pinball/arcade, NQ Mini-Z Racers and exploring more countries through this crazy world.

Hi, a quick message as I’ve missed a few PM’s and posted no updates etc AKD PROPS WILL BE AT THE Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival!

I've just got home from some engineering work away and I’ve got the next two days off to get my stall products ready. My other job is the reason why I don’t advertise, announce what/where AKD Props will be as I sometimes don’t turn-up or cancel the day before, but we'll definitely be at the medieval fest. More info soon.

See everyone at the Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival for a huge catchup with friends and also to make new friends. Have fun.

Hi, our dice towers are returning for the Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival. The very popular standard size castle dice towers are a little bit more premium made now. They are coated with dye-based/pigment ink printed vinyl sticker graphics coated with UV gloss clear laminate on foil laminated bright white MDF finish.

Our huge dice towers are also available now (550mm tall). Great for parties, pubs and clubs. I was hesitant to sell these years ago as I didn’t like the printed textured finish. So now with all new workshop equipment I am printing the MDF gloss wood surfaces using sublimation inks which delivers vivid colours, smooth gradients and reduce fading over time for such a large product.

All castle dice towers are laser cut and parts slide together with no glue needed, they will be sold assembled but they are still able to be disassembled for flat packing (castle towers only). I’ll get a quick video up at a later date showing me sublimating the large dice tower parts.

OMG! I forgot about Skeksis – The Dark Crystal. I designed the Skeksis bust (plus other Dark Crystal characters) back in 2018 for the event MagnetiCon at the Murry Sports Complex in Townsville. Display had an animatronic Fizzgig, Skeksis and Garthim. I have now added Skeksis to the 3D resin printed figurines for Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival. See everyone there. 🤘

I’ve added four new figurine characters. Bean & Elfo from the animated fantasy sitcom Disenchantment, the valiant Dirk the Daring knight from the infamous 1983 laser disk video game Dragon’s Lair, also the Dragon (Shrek) head which I’m currently making into a larger size display. See them first at Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival 🤘

Quick post. Falkor has been my exhibition/markets side kick for many years. So it’s now time to make two new friends for him to hang out with at events. First I’m doing a life size Tauntaun bust from The Empire Strikes Back and later/soon the Lady Dragon bust from Shrek. They will have animatronic eyes and hinged jaws, also maybe a sound effects card/speaker.

I have just started the Tauntaun bust head shape, made from XPS foam and 3D printed horns/ears. Time to Foamcoat him, add fur and some fake snow and some eye mechanisms. I will try my hardest to finish the Tauntaun and maybe Shrek dragon for Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival , but I don’t like my chances.

Hi, sorry for no recent updates. I’ve been flat out helping some businesses with fabrication work to get their projects done before the financial year date. It’s all done now and I’m back in my prop shop.

I will be attending the Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival in August. So it’s time to make medieval/fantasy products and finally get myself to a local market/festival.

All NEW products. I’ve designed and made some solid resin figurines of Monty Python and the Holy Grail selected characters, taunting Frenchman, Black Knight and cave monster. First, I roughly design/make them using monster clay, then 3D scan them, finish sculpting them using Meshmixer software and then 3d resin printed. They will be mounted on a wooden base and supplied as paint-it yourself.

I got a bit crazy with my laser cutter/EVA foam and made a batch of beer tankards (assembled, wood grained, paint-it yourself, holds 500ml cans). A batch of beer kegs/barrels (assembled, comes with stand, hinged door, paint-it yourself) and I’m currently working on a LED medieval lantern, I still need to design/make the handle for it.

Hi, for the NQ Mini-Z RC car racers May race meet info. A few racers are away, camping etc May 2nd long weekend, so we’ve rescheduled the next race meet for the following weekend on Saturday May 9th 2026 at Tec-NQ, Douglas, Townsville. All info in the flyer.
