Monthly Matchplay on again this time it's a fair strikes tournament. Last chance to get some practice in before the Hiker Classic in Brisbane the following weekend. Players will be placed into groups of 4 which change after every round. You are awarded strikes depending on your result from 1st to 4th receiving 0,1,1,2 strikes accordingly and 7 strikes sees you eliminated from the tournament with the last player standing declared the winner.
Cost $25 per person start time 11am Sunday 23rd August. Pinball Planet Arcade, 2 Truro Street Torquay next to Crafty Cargo.

*Brisbane Masters 2026*

Last weekend 8 Hervey Bay locals made the trip to the 11th annual Brisbane Masters pinball tournament in Moorooka. There we faced off against 220 competitors from around Australia, New Zealand and even further afield. The competition was tough but we all had a fantastic time catching up with old friends and playing against the best players in the country and the world.

After a day of qualifying 4 of the group made it through to the finals with Andrew Priest and Kieran Braden in the A finals and Ben Byrne and Thomas Priest finishing on the same points to play in the E division Finals.

Unfortunately for Kieran and Ben they were knocked out in their first round match-up to bring their tournament to an end. That left Thomas to play through only to be narrowly beaten on the final ball in his best of 3 series in the Semi final ending his run in 3rd place.

In the A finals Andrew continued his fine form from the previous days qualifying rounds to win his 3 matches and into the final where he met the former world no. 1 player Escher Lefkoff. The dream run was to come to an end in the final though as he went down 3-1 in the best of 5 series and Escher won his 4th consecutive Brisbane Masters.

A massive thankyou to the organisers of the tournament it was fantastic as always, so well run and we will all be back next year.

Tournament time this Sunday at 11am!!. It's everybody's favorite format - Flip Frenzy!! - 4hours of pinball competition with a lunch break in the middle.
IFPA registered with finals starting at 3.30pm. $25 per player but if it's your first tournament you only pay $10 (what a bargin for an afternoon of pinball). Bring a friend and we'll see you there.😀
