ANNOUNCEMENT: Join us in congratulating Full-Time Contemporary student Noah Hockey on receiving a full scholarship to attend the Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive this August!

As well as this exciting opportunity, Noah heads to Townsville this week to undertake a secondment with DanceNorth, continuing to expand his professional experience and artistic development.

These are two exceptional opportunities for such a dedicated, hardworking, and deeply committed young artist, and a true reflection of Noah’s passion, artistry, and commitment to his craft.

Noah, we couldn’t be prouder of all that you’ve achieved, and we can’t wait to see all that you learn, experience, and bring back from these incredible opportunities.

Congratulations, Noah! We know this is only the beginning!

Noah formally trained at - Congratulations on developing such a talented, hardworking, and versatile young artist — what a wonderful achievement for everyone involved.

‘I’m so incredibly honoured to have been selected to attend the Netherlands Dans Theatre Summer Intensive in August, as well as receiving a full financial scholarship from the company, allowing this incredible opportunity to be possible. I’m also incredibly honoured to have also been selected for the DanceNorth secondment week in Townsville, which is another wonderful opportunity offered to me in Australia.
Being able to participate in both these national and international spaces means so much to me, as NDT is my dream company, and I feel so inspired to be chosen for such rigorous and exceptional institutions, where I can expand and refine my own contemporary practice, make connections with world-class artists, and grow as a person.

I’m even more grateful for all the amazing support I’ve had from QCD over the past 2 and a half years in both training and mentoring, and for Deanna (head of Contemporary) for continually pushing me and supporting me towards my goals in the contemporary space.
I can’t wait to share my experience and learnings from my time away with you all, and to see what exciting things come from these incredible opportunities.’ -
