Life Lines is hanging! I had a special time of reflection this morning. Alone, I wandered through the exhibition, absorbing each painting and watching the video, reconnecting with the experience of crossing oceans - remembering moments of awe, fear, exhaustion and exhilaration.

It’s not often an artist sees their entire body of work hanging in one space! Years of imagining, planning, dreaming - all there! I can’t wait to share it with you! I will be giving away an appreciation painting at the opening on Saturday. See you there!

Life Lines opens at 3pm, Saturday 9th May, Toowoomba Repertory Theatre.

Life Lines opens in two weeks! Come and celebrate with me!

We sailed for 19 days without seeing land, passing only one other boat. Just water, sky, and swell. Time softened out there. Days blurred. We experienced the ocean's many changing moods. The scale of everything became almost impossible to comprehend. You realise how small you are. The porthole - a thin film of separation between us and the immense vastness. Part of the Life Lines exhibition, 19 Days at Sea features 19 portholes - 19 different sea states. Opens 9th May, 3pm, Toowoomba Repertory Theatre.

Lifelines. Out on the ocean, lifelines are the ropes that tether you to the boat. The thin line between safety and the vast unknown.

This body of work grew from time spent at sea. There were moments of fear, stillness, awe and isolation. Times when the horizon disappeared and all that remained was trust- trust in the boat and trust in my skipper.

Lifelines explores the emotional and symbolic aspects of sailing across oceans, through ropes, knots, shifting horizons, and long passages without seeing land.

Lifelines opens in 4 weeks.
