You’ll find Gregor relaxing in our reptile room, happily keeping an eye on everyone who visits. While he isn’t looking for a new home (sorry, he’s not for sale!), he’s always happy to be admired.

We want every visit to Beyond Pets to be memorable, and Gregor is just one of the many reasons to pop in and explore.

Meet the Beyond Pets Team!

One of the things that makes Beyond Pets special is our team. We all have different passions and specialties, which means there’s always someone here who loves the animals you love!

Lachlan – Owner

Beyond Pets was built from a dream of creating more than just a pet shop. I wanted to create a place where the community could learn, connect and receive honest advice, while giving every animal the care and respect they deserve. My passions include birds, reptiles, fish and helping our local community grow through education and events.

Charlie – Shop Dog (and secretly the real boss)

Our resident Cocker Spaniel and official greeter, Charlie takes his job very seriously… especially when it comes to welcoming customers, collecting pats, and supervising the team. While we like to think we’re in charge, everyone knows Charlie is the real boss of Beyond Pets.

Jess – Manager

A walking knowledge bank with years of experience across birds, fish, reptiles, dogs, cats, small mammals and more. It’s no wonder why Jess if cornerstone of Toowoomba’s pet community! If you’ve got a question, chances are Jess has the answer!

Matt – Assistant Manager

Always happy to help and with an incredible attitude, Matt never stops learning. If he doesn’t know the answer, he’ll find it. His interests include birds, fish, reptiles, dogs and bugs.

Dan

A true veteran of the industry, Dan has bred more animals than most people could imagine and loves sharing his experience and knowledge with our customers.

Alice

One of the newest members of our team, Alice is passionate about breeding fish and guinea pigs, keeping reptiles, and is currently studying to become a veterinarian. Looking for a particular fish? Alice is your go to!

Sam

Also one of the newest additions to the team, Sam is a fully qualified vet nurse with a passion for reptiles. She also organised our fantastic Family Fun Day charity fundraiser, helping bring our community together while supporting a great cause.

Ian

Our resident reptile enthusiast, Ian spends most of his time behind the scenes building custom enclosures and improving the shop.

We’re incredibly proud of our team and the knowledge, passion and care they bring every single day. Next time you’re in store, don’t be afraid to say hello, we’d love to meet you!
