While we were in Wee Waa, we were also able to donate a keyboard, drum kit and electric guitar to the community. 🎹🥁🎸

None of that is possible without the generosity of people donating instruments so a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed. Those instruments are now in the hands of kids who are already putting them to good use.

If you have an instrument sitting at home that isn’t getting played, we’d love to give it a new home. Head to www.growthemusic.org/donate-instruments-volunteer to find out how to donate.

Pretty exciting news. 🎸

Eastwood Guitars and the guitar's original designer Zac Eccles are donating instruments to Grow the Music as part of the launch of their brand new Lizard MT, a microtonal electric guitar inspired by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Zac directed Eastwood to donate to GTM because he believes (like we do) that access to music shouldn't depend on your circumstances. Every instrument that comes through our doors goes straight into the hands of someone in our community who needs it.

To Zac and the team at Eastwood, thank you. 🙏

And if the Lizard MT has caught your eye, grab one here, knowing your purchase helps get instruments to people who need them most makes it even better - eastwoodguitars.com/products/eastwood-lizard-mt

The universe has a funny sense of timing.

was walking out of a Perth radio station ready to begin her 3,125km WALK across Australia for Slamtidote and Grow the Music (us!)… and walking in the door at the exact same moment was Aussie legend Shane Howard.

Shane liked her T-shirt, Birdgirl nearly fell over because, well… it’s Shane Howard.

She told him she was about to walk the Nullarbor raising awareness for regional and remote voices and making sure the arts stay accessible for everyone no matter the barriers. Something Shane’s been championing for years too. She also told him she's raising funds for Grow The Music (us!) & Slamtidote

Special moment for us at Grow the Music, with Shane having recorded with us and performed at the Sync the Music Launch late last year.

Now everyone manifests with us that Birdgirl and Shane end up writing a song together when she gets back to Melbourne. Stranger things have happened on the road...

If you'd like to donate head to: https://www.gofundme.com/f/birdgirls-walk-across-australia-for-access-to-the-arts

P.S. We've also included a photo we took of Shane & Albo at the 40th anniversary of the Uluru Handback in October 2025 ✨

Such a special night this was to share music with community and family. A week later and I'm still very grateful for everyone who came together with us 🌊
