Sophie's Voice is back! Rehearsals start this week for "Plaguesongs", a concert of music about infectious disease. We are singing Mediaeval hymns meant to ward off the bubonic plague, music of the 1840s potato blight and songs from the 1910s about the Spanish flu. We need some more singers, so if you are interested in singing with a great group who shy away from the ordinary repertoire, Sophie’s Voice Choir could be for you. Ring Stephen on 0401881423.

2020 holds some exciting things for Sophie's Voice Choir including the writing of a major new choral work on the subject of climate change. In this innovative project, the whole choir will collaborate to create a piece of music about the biggest political and social challenge of our time. Well, what would be a good New Years Resolution for 2019? Start going to the gym? That's not going to happen. Declutter the house? Where do you start? I know, join a choir! The physical and mental health benefits are well documented. Sophie's Voice Choir is looking for new members.
