The Croxton Bandroom

The Croxton Bandroom Melbourne’s newest bandroom has a colourful past. Sometime in the mid-twentieth century, a huge ballroom was built onto the back of the pub. What’s not to love?
(1570)

Built in 1844, The Croxton Park Hotel in Thornbury is an old school pub that has had a long view of Australian history, from the gold rush to the Diggers to World Series cricket. It became one of Melbourne’s most successful live music venues in the seventies and eighties - literally anyone who was anyone played at ‘The Croc’ in those days, from ACDC and Skyhooks to Rose Tattoo, INXS, Men at Work,

Mondo Rock and Midnight Oil. Decades after a golden era of pub rock ended, The Croxton had fallen off the radar, but under a coat of the dust the room remained a superb space for live music. It has an epic 14 metre wide stage and perfect sightlines no matter where you stand. Croxton train Station is around the corner, High Street trams are out the front and there’s a 300-space carpark across the road. With Thornbury fast becoming the coolest ‘hood in Melbourne’s inner north, it was time to wake the sleeping giant. With a fresh look, a phenomenal new PA and a totally overhauled front bar, The Croxton Bandroom is back. We opened with sell-out shows from You Am, The Drones and Augie March, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Sleater-Kinney, and there's more to come.

Grammy nominated singer/songwriter GEOFF TATE is coming to Australia next April. He will be performing Operation Mindcrime in its entirety, along with his Queen of the Reich debut EP and a ‘best of’ set. His soaring vocals combined with his complex, lyrical content and full band, provide a backdrop for a rare live experience. A voice. An album. A band. Not to be missed.

DEATH TO ALL is a tribute to Death and the music of Chuck Schuldiner, and they are coming to Aus for the first time to perform a massive legacy set and pay tribute to Death’s entire catalogue.

Comprising of significant Death members: the legendary drummer Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Dethklok), bass beast Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Sadus), guitarist Bobby Koelble (Death) and joined by singer/guitarist Max Phelps (Exist, Cynic) this is a must see for anyone who calls themselves a fan of death metal and extreme music.

Dutch groove explorers YĪN YĪN have announced their first ever Australian shows, bringing with them their highly anticipated fourth album, Yatta!

Yatta! is described as their most cohesive work yet. The album leans into Italo disco textures, warped guitar lines and club-ready rhythms, while still offering moments for deeper, more introspective listening. It is a record crafted equally for dancing and for getting lost in the music

Tickets go on sale 9am Friday
