There has been a lot of debate on this one. People are astonished at how much a party actually costs to put on. These particular parties usually combine a first birthday and a christening event. Those with European backgrounds tend to celebrate these occasions big and have extensive invite lists. Let’s not forget the venue’s expectations on minimum bar spend and catering costs. Each to their own, I say.
If you want to celebrate big, then go for it. If you don’t have a big budget, we can always work with a smaller event to suit your budget.
