But sometimes the tension doesn’t need resolving.
The mark doesn’t need correcting.
The painting doesn’t need more.

It needs space.

I layered teal, turquoise and copper so the colors move from denser passages toward a brighter center. As I worked I kept returning to those small shifts that change how you carry things: a loosening, a softer breath, a lowering of the shoulders.
