Charlotte Pass ~ dir. Josh Baker

Best Picture does to Josh Baker for Charlotte Pass. The film details the final days before a comet destroys the Earth, as three estranged siblings embark on a road trip to see the snow.

Charlotte Pass moved us deeply. In a program bursting with bold, original voices, this film stood out by expressing a feeling that we saw reflected across so many of the films this year. A reminder that at its best, filmmaking is a collaboration between different artists working together to say something about what it means to be alive. Charlotte Pass achieves that special kind of movie magic. It captures the spirit of the times.
