Garlic Basket Workshop

At Willow Violet and Flora Farm, Hamilton Highway, Tarrington

Create a hanging basket for storing your garlic
With Caroline Hawkins

This design utilizes the naturally curved ends of cordyline australis for the base and as a structural frame to twine around

This basket is made by ‘twining’ a pair of ‘weavers’ around a framework of cordyline leaves with a selection of natural plant fibres to use as weaving materials.
Not a fan of garlic? The beauty of this design is that it can quite readily be adapted into a fish instead!

An update from the Art Studio.

The roller door has been insulated and Jamie from Youngy's Carpentry has put the metal flashing up. Thank you to Peter and Chris from Permewans Mitre 10 for helping me to work out how to do the roller door.
The air conditioner is in. Thank you Fox Refridgeration and my wonderful Mum and Dad, the best birthday present. The lighting has been installed, thank you Creek Electrical, it's very bright inside 👏
Now that the trades have finished, I can get back to the floor.
Getting closer to art lessons starting I hope. 💗

Wildflower collaboration with my talented daughter from .

I am isolated, on a large property in the NT at the moment. A really great place to be. Luckily I am with my family.
I am really missing my flowers. So today my daughter, grandchildren and I went on an adventure, foraging in the bush to see what flowers we could find. We collected some wonderful wildflowers/weeds, it was amazing the range of colours and textures we saw.
I decided to have a try at making some posies from them. Well it turns out flowers or weeds it's just the same principles and just as much fun. Em's amazing styling and photography just makes them look even better. Do you think weeds make great posies?

My gorgeous daughter Em from Little Wild Love photography took me in hand today 🤣 and did a photo shoot of my grass wreath. It puts my photography to shame really 😳 I am so grateful and thrilled with the photos she took for me. 😘 She makes the wreath look amazing. What do you think? I hope you are having a lovely Easter. XO
