Exhibition // somewhere here
nowhereprint
1 April - 13 May

somewhere here is opens today in the gallery! somewhere here is an exhibition of works by the artist collective ‘nowhereprint’. Bringing together 16 contemporary artists working from lutruwita/Tasmania, ‘nowhereprint’ is inspired by the island’s unique ecosystems and cultural histories. somewhere here includes works in print by the following artists:

Antonia Aitken Raymond Arnold Tim Coad Rebecca Coote Tony Curran Mindy Doré Jan Hogan Jennifer Marshall Olivia Moroney Helen Mueller Nicole O’Loughlin Lex Palmer Bull Natasha Rowell Michael Schlitz Hope Smith Melissa Smith

The artists in somewhere here acknowledge the significance of living and making on Iutruwita/Tasmania, where Palawa people tended the land through millennia of inhabitation. This island place generates the context from which each artist questions the personal and political, mythological and narrative connections.
