Tonight The KCDD has its final classes and closes its doors. Our 7 year journey has been massive and memorable and a defining part of my life. I cannot begin to thank everyone properly here like this... but I will try, at least until we can be face to face. The KCDD culture and ethos has been embraced by so many wonderful families and students over our time. It is a heartwarming experience to see your dreams shared and carried by the people around you, as hard as heading into my new future is, you all give me the confidence to go forward with hope in my heart.
To every parent who has supported their dancer the best they can, and in turn supported me- Thank you. ππΌ
To our beautiful students, young and old, past and present, it has been an utter joy to teach you and watch you grow. I am endlessly proud of how far you have come and cherish the role I have played in your dance journey, please continue to strive and learn- I really do love you to bits β€οΈ
Victoria Patricia-your help, support and hard work helped build the foundations of The KCDD. I will always be grateful for the love and energy you brought each week and the friendship and support you offered us all.
My beautiful assistants- Ashlee, Shakira, Kesara and Sydney- Thank you for your help and dedication. I love you and am proud of all you are. π
Cass Frost- thank you so much for taking on so many things that just give me a headache! Ordering, organising, liaising- you did so much in an effort to make my life easier, and it will always be appreciated. I will continue to show my love for you through gin and cheese. π§
Dearne and Graeme Bakes-you have built, made, sequinned, gemmed, glued, soldered, created for me since day one. You have done anything I have asked of you without question or hesitation and always deliver with kindness and love. My family is always eternally grateful for your love and support. π
Jennie and JoJo- You two have been the back bone of the KCDD operation. Invoicing, fees, attendance, admin, reception- you do it all! Our families have benefited from your care and diligence, and I know that my little family especially is lifted up and warmed by your generosity. Thank you for caring for us the way you do π
Mary- you are a true and honest friend who has given so much of your own time and energy to help see my dream live. You are an incredible βJack of all tradesβ and it has always been so reassuring to have you in my corner. I know so many of our students and families feel the same way. We are all lucky to have had you π
Renee Kazanis- my Padawan, the time and dedication taken into training and teaching you has been paid back ten fold. You make me overwhelmingly proud everyday, both on and off the dance floor. You have stepped up and assisted me whenever Iβve been in need, and have done it beautifully. Your Jedi Master adores you. π
Ryan Coonan, Will and Syd- thank you for loving me so well and for wholeheartedly supporting me in my endeavours. You made the KCDD possible and shared the successes and the hard times. I could not want for a better family. π₯°
The KCDD is a family that started as a little seed of an idea in my brain 8yrs ago. It has grown and been tended to lovingly by many gorgeous humans. Each of you have played a role in helping it grow and thrive. All these years later, The KCDD branches are stretched far and wide, intertwined through many lives, friendships and loves... our roots are solid, strong and enduring. Our classes may be cease, but that connection and bond will not. The KCDD is family, always. β€οΈ
