Quick mid-week project for our roadside stall this week đź‘Ś

Nothing fancy — just something thrown together in about half an hour using bits and pieces from the shed and yard. No real plan… just the need for something that could handle all this rain we've been getting 🌧️

Summer school holidays are for home projects. Today I tackled the job of refreshing my outdoor furniture. This involved sanding the pieces and re-spraying them with a garden furniture oil to bring them back to life and protect the wood for another couple years from the elements.

All of these pieces I have made by hand using reclaimed pallet wood and barrel staves, making them unique to us.

A few hours later (thanks to a spray gun) and the pieces look like new again! đź‘Ś

It’s been a little quiet on the creative front this year — work, volunteering, running a house… all the usual things have taken priority.

But last weekend I finally got back into the shed, and it was such a nice change of pace. I put together a couple of plant stands for the front porch using some old easel-style legs that have been gathering dust, paired with pallet wood and a splash of decking oil.

They’ve finished off the space perfectly — so happy with how they turned out, paired with some thrifted planters! 🌿🪵✨

Looking forward to the Summer break to get some more projects completed and refreshing all my outdoor furniture with some sanding and fresh coat of oil.👌🌞
