TANNYMOREL MURAL COMMITTEE was formed to assist with raising money to have a mural painted on the western side of an old Railway Shed. The shed has been standing in the community since 1891. The mural will depict images of the industry that was around the Tannymorel & Mount Colliery area over the years. Many of the local community have vivid memories of the happenings over the years and have contr
ibuted both vocally and with photos of the area. A committee of local people was formed. Since forming we have applied for a grant to assist with painting the Mural. To help out with money for painting the mural the committee have had a slower start than what was initially planned due to circumstances out of every person in the worlds control. However, they have been slowly raising funds and anticipate some exciting fundraisers in the future when bigger events are allowed.
