🌊 Discovering & Learning... Under the Sea! 🐠
At Empowering Art for All, I believe learning happens best when it's hands-on, curious and a little bit messy.
This week's homeschool art session took my young artists under the sea researching ocean creatures, talking about scale and proportion, and turning what they discovered into their very own ocean scene. 🦑🐢🪸
It's more than just drawing.
It's:
✨ Storytelling, every creature has a place and a reason in the scene
✨ Focus, building patience through observation and detail
✨ Research & discovery, learning facts about the ocean before putting pencil to paper
✨ Drawing to scale, understanding size, space and proportion
✨ Confidence, every finished piece is proof of what they can do
✨ A different way of learning, where creativity is the curriculum
There's nothing quite like watching a child's confidence grow as their ocean scene comes to life, that proud "I made this" moment. Finding happiness in learning, one creature at a time. 💙
