WILSON RODEO CO X EH8 MEDIA

When Rick’s kids first reached out to me about coming along and capturing a bit of what they’re all about, I was so honoured. Getting the opportunity to step behind the scenes with a family like the Wilsons was pretty special.

We had a bit of a yarn with Rick, I got to see all the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes into the bucking horse string, make a reel, grab some photos and just be around the action for a little while.

And then there’s the little connection that makes it even more special — Rick actually used to rodeo with my Pop back in the day. It’s pretty cool how small the rodeo world is, and how those connections can come back around years later.

The Wilsons are honestly the best bunch of people, and I’m so grateful they trusted me to come along and capture a little piece of their family, their horses and what they do.

This was one of those gigs that makes me stop and think how bloody lucky I am to be doing what I love, camera in hand, and getting to meet some pretty special people along the way. 🫶🏼
