Fantasy fans, your next big screen obsession is officially on the way 👀

Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel Children of Blood and Bone is getting the movie treatment, with Damson Idris, Cynthia Erivo and Idris Elba among faces in the star-studded cast.

The story follows Zélie, a young girl living in a kingdom where magic has been taken from her people, as she fights to bring it back and restore magic to the land.

Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, the highly anticipated adaptation is set to hit cinemas in January 2027.

We are seeing yet another '00s favourite get the reboot treatment and this time, it's Aquamarine.

The beloved 2006 mermaid movie is being adapted into a TV series set in the same universe. After the film found a whole new audience thanks to its resurgence on TikTok, producers realised there was an appetite to revisit the cult classic.

Emma Roberts, who starred in the original film, is set to guest star and will also serve as an executive producer on the project.

We've seen a number of movie adaptations of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' over the years, and the latest is returning in the form of a dark fantasy starring Johnny Depp as Ebenezer.

Ebeneezer: A Christmas Carol, is directed by Ti West and not only marks a 'comeback' for Johnny Depp at the box office, but also stars well-known faces like Rupert Grint, Sam Slaflin, Andrea Riseborough, Ian Mckellen and Daisy Ridley, to name just a few.

The movie is produced by Paramount Pictures and is set to be released on November 13, 2026.

If you noticed that the resemblance between sheldon's mom in The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon is uncanny... it's because the actresses are actually mother and daughter IRL!

Laurie metcalf played Mary Cooper in The Big Bang Theory from 2007 to 2018 and her daughter Zoe Perry played Mary Cooper in sheldon Cooper from 2017 to 2024.

Zoe was actually put forward for the role by Jim Parsons' husband Todd, who suggested producers take a look at her for the character of a 'young mary'.

This wasn't the first time it had happened too, Zoe had also stepped into her mom's character on Roseanne.
