Burnout is more than feeling tired.

As part of our 60-min Mini's series (Bite-sized mental health skill builders) participants take a burnout self-check and learn to recognise the emotional, physical, and behavioural signs early.

We explore the areas of life that require maintenance to prevent overload, and introduce a simple approach to meaningful, sustainable self-care that is actually doable. The session includes a reflective Scrappy Self Care exercise and resource recommendations to support continued recovery and resilience.

This upcoming session is happening online on Wed 23 Sept, 1-2pm AEST.

R U OK? Day: Showing up when it matters

Today is R U OK? Day, a reminder of something that matters every day: checking in with the people around us. When someone is struggling, being heard, supported, and feeling less alone can make a meaningful difference.

But knowing how to have those conversations doesnโ€™t always come naturally. We can feel awkward, worried about saying the wrong thing, or unsure whether to ask more or give someone space. When conversations touch on mental health, vulnerability, capacity, or distress, itโ€™s easy to feel out of our depth.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re excited to launch the latest session in our MINI series: SHOWING UP: How to Listen When It Matters.

This bite-sized mental health skill builder gives music and creative industry workers practical tools to approach difficult conversations with compassion, curiosity, and care, without feeling like they need to have all the answers. Sometimes, knowing how to listen, stay present, and help someone feel heard can make all the difference.

While today gives us a reason to ask โ€œAre you okay?โ€, these are skills worth carrying with us all year round.
