Announcing the Willoughby Emerging Art Prize Judges! 📣
We're thrilled to welcome Consuelo Cavaniglia and Monica Rani Rudhar as judges for this year's Willoughby Emerging Art Prize.

Consuelo Cavaniglia is an artist working across drawing, sculpture, and large-scale site-specific installations to investigate how space is seen, perceived and understood. Her work has been exhibited and collected widely nationally. Consuelo has a long-standing commitment to artistic communities informed by her considerations of space and agency. Her curatorial practice encourages experimentation, collaboration and intergenerational dialogue, with a focus on restaging and recontextualising existing works. Consuelo is currently Lecturer at UNSW Art & Design and is Co-Founder and Co-Director of experimental art space sydenham international, and CUT N POLISH: artist car boot sale.
Monica Rani Rudhar is an artist based on Gadigal land, working across sculpture, video, and performance. Her practice explores longing and loss tied to cultural identity, drawing on intergenerational family stories to imagine alternate futures. Born to Indian and Romanian migrant parents, Rani Rudhar examines cultural conformity, commodification, and essentialization within a settler colonial context. Rani Rudhar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), First Class, from UNSW Art & Design, and has exhibited widely across Australia and internationally, including in The 25th Biennale of Sydney: Rememory (2026), Primavera: Young Australian Artists at the Museum of Contemporary Art (2024), and And Still I Rise at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (2025). Her work is held in major public and private collections including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Artbank, and Blacktown Arts, alongside commissions for Casula Powerhouse and the Powerhouse Museum.
