THE NIGHT THE MIRACLES STARTED…
On this evening 2yrs ago Daddy suffered a major stroke and it was devastating but that was the night the miracles started.
The first miracle being that the stroke or the heart clot (we didn’t know existed) that caused the stroke didn’t take him!!!
The next, Daddy was found in good time and was in the surgery within approximately an hour and a bit of the incident and the surgery was successful, full retrieval of the clot.
Next up, when we went into the ICU he knew us.
He was out of ICU within 2 days and had the most incredible health care team in what we’ve been countlessly told is the BEST stroke unit in the country!!!
There were so many more miracles to come, so many more that it would take many more posts to recount but the BIGGEST one being that Daddy was NOT alone.
If you know anything about us then you know that we are a FAITH first family. Our faith, trust and belief in God are paramount and in this moment HE didn’t leave us or forsake us. HE didn’t leave or forsake Daddy!!!!!!!!
As Dad has communicated to us as he walked up the hill from the train station to his car, he felt someone walking closely by him. Then he felt his arm go numb and this person, a man, asked if he was ok and when Dad turn to respond there was no speech. This man helped Dad lay down and the next minute there was a lady who had called the ambulance.
In the days that followed I was able to speak with the lady who called 000. She gave me the timeline from her perspective. She said she found Dad under a giant duffle bag and called 000. She said she assumed he had fallen. I asked about the man Dad told us about and she said there was no one there.
We believe this man was an angel and that he did indeed assist Dad in laying down as he did not sustain any head injuries which would have occurred if he had fallen and the way he was found.
THIS was the night the MIRACLES started and as Daddy continues to recover we remain firmly planted in our FAITH that God is who He says He is. So rather than meeting this date with sadness, we choose to meet this date in celebration!!!
