China National Opera House‘s Australian Debut

Two cities. Two unforgettable performances.

The Australian debut of the China National Opera House attracted more than 3,000 audience members across Melbourne and Sydney, bringing together celebrated opera artists, orchestra and local choirs in a landmark cultural event.

From Mozart, Verdi, Bizet and Puccini to beloved Chinese classics, the performances celebrated the richness of operatic tradition and the power of music to connect cultures.

Featuring leading opera singers, conductor Yuan Ding, Concertmaster Du Xuan, and the China National Opera House Chamber Orchestra, the programme includes highlights from The Magic Flute, La Traviata, Carmen, Turandot, selections from The White-Haired Girl, and the beloved Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto.
