Leigh and Challito are back in the Orbital Radio studio this Thursday from 4pm.

Joining them is Olivia Foa'i - Olivia is a New Zealand-born Musician, Director and Dancer (Tokelauan, Tuvaluan and British heritage). She is best known as the lead female singer/dancer for multi award-winning Polynesian band, Te Vaka and for her vocals on Disney's "Moana" soundtrack (Tulou Tagaloa, Logo Te Pate, Know Who You Are...).

In 2019 she released her debut solo album "Candid" to glowing reviews and collected accolades such as "Best Pacific Album" in the New Zealand Music Awards and "Best Female Artist" in the Pacific Music Awards 2020.

On stage as a dancer since the age 2 and joining the vocal line up from age 11, Olivia's live performance credits span 40 countries and include such prestigious events/venues as The World Premiere of Disney's Moana at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, The 2015 Disney D23 Expo, The Byron Bay Blues Festival, The Beijing Olympics, The London Olympics and The Rugby World Cup in Paris.

Olivia also choreographed, directed and starred in Te Vaka's music video "Lakalaka", released through Walt Disney Records in 2017. This undertaking spurred the beginning of her career as a Director. In 2020, Olivia and brother Matatia Foa'i (screenwriter, composer, actor) completed their first 30min short film "Stuntbot" collecting multiple awards on the international film festival circuit. Join Challito and Leigh this Thursday from 4pm on Cannonball on Orbital Radio - also joining them is Tara Clark.

Tara is a trained actor, accidental director, published playwright, voice over artist and one half of theatre company Two Peas, currently based in London. Career highlights include playing Darling Mae Thomas in Old 505's inaugural subscription season production, We're Bastards and playing Tanya Crawley in the Australian premier of Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem, a production which earned 7 Sydney Theatre Awards nominations. She loves nothing more than a good boiler suit (is there such thing as a bad one?) and dresses with pockets. Her favourite word is "seditious" because although it's intended as a criticism it brings to mind the early Suffragettes, and she finds that false dichotomy to be a valuable reminder. She's usually one of the last ones to get up at karaoke, but when she does you can expect Solsbury Hill or Vienna.

Join us from 4pm today - Challito and Leigh will be chatting with Kathy Luu (who will know from previous Cannonball shows) Orbital Radio.

Kathy Luu is a direct descendent of the Greek philosopher Luutonius who was the founder of The School of Delightful Thinking. Never too far away from a slice of cake, she is currently being a director, actor, social creative, writer, designer and artist. She recently appeared as the lead in the first Asian-Australian romcom feature, Rhapsody of Love and is currently working on her black comedy zombie web series as director (soon to be launched). If she was a sentient android she'd be found wandering the moors in the late afternoon rain, or fast escaping to the far ends of the galaxy with her secret human lover. But alas, she is human - a great relief to her, for we are such stuff that dreams are made on.

Our first guest this Thursday on Cannonball on Orbital Radio is Oleg Pupovac. Oleg is an actor, director, writer and one half of Two Peas. In the last year Oleg has been focusing on his writing; namely prose, poetry and whatever else spills out. His play, And Birds Drink in Mirrors was written largely over a three day period leading up to this year’s Orthodox Christmas. When Oleg is not writing he spends his time sending voice messages to family overseas, reading wonderful literature and twisting his neck at elemental change. Find him at dospeas.com
