Come and join us for Xanadu Sky!

With three solos and an epic 30-minute trio, Xanadu Sky is a journey through shifting patterns that slowly evolve like a hypnotic dusk horizon. Hear every subtle sonority of the double bass, percussion and piano as they each take their turn in the spotlight as soloists. Finally, the trio joins forces as a meticulous musical machine in the ultimate jazz-infused slow burn: the Australian premiere of Sarah Hennies’ Spectral Malsconcities.

Eastside Radio!

Our 2023 recipient in recognition of 20 years at Eastside Radio has been an important part of our nighttime programs pushing the boundaries of our station sound and breaking through the jazz ceiling to be the epitome of eclectic. A real favourite amongst other DJs it’s incredible to hear the sonic soundscapes they can wield using CDs, vinyl, computers and even tapes.

A wonderfully generous volunteer who is always willing to give his time over and above being a presenter. Their contributions to our Global Rhythms World Music Festivals made them invaluable to the success of those events and we couldn’t have come close to achieving anything without their dusk to dawn support over 4 days.

Always willing to check in to see how you’re going, offer some leads for sponsorhip, talk about their kid’s latest movie they’re making, or even ask if they’re rare God vinyl that went missing has ever turned up?

Incredibly humble, you wouldn’t even know that they’re a part of the experimental Loop Orchestra, or casually able to repair your surfboard should you need. A man of many talents that we’re always trying to call upon, Congratulations on 20 years at Eastside Radio, Mr Moodswing, Manny Gasparinatos.
