Do you have a favourite new 2026–2028 In Colour yet?

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order and week 4 is all about Hydrangea Hue. This soft lavender blue is quickly becoming one of my favourite 2026–2028 In Colours.

My “Hello Friend” card pairs Hydrangea Hue with Soft Sea Foam, Basic White and touches of Basic Black for a fresh soft palette with a little contrast. and I love how perfectly Hydrangea Hue pairs with Soft Sea Foam.

I’ve also used the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder for the first time. I love this embossing folder so much and you’ll certainly be seeing more of it on my future projects.

These are the products used in my card:

🩵Heirloom Boutique Bundle
🩵Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder
🩵2026–2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order and week 3 is all about Golden Glow.

Here is my project: This card was inspired by my favourite bag (designed by Orla Kiely) and combines Golden Glow with Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lolly for a warm retro-inspired colour palette.

I used the Scalloped Blooms Dies to create the layered flowers and the Friendly Foliage Stamp Set for both the front and inside sentiments. The gold heat embossed sentiment on Basic Black card stock added just the right amount of contrast and warmth.

I love how warm and comforting Golden Glow feels when paired with these softer yellows and black accents.
I also used leftover flower die-cut offcuts to decorate the inside corners of the card so the design carried right through the project.

Books, quilting, card making and Mother’s Day all came together in this very special project for Week 2 of the AWH Colour Creations InstaHop 🍑📚

This card features the beautiful new 2026–28 In Colour, Crisp Cantaloupe, paired with the Hobby Haven Specialty DSP.

Even though Crisp Cantaloupe isn’t one of the colours in the Hobby Haven Specialty DSP, I used a Crisp Cantaloupe card base and the sentiment on the front of the card (from the Sending Salutations Stamp Set) is stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe.

I layered a Petal Pink and white grid-striped DSP before building a cosy little reading scene using die-cut elements and fussy-cut images from the Hobby Haven DSP. Golly gosh, Petal Pink works so beautifully with Crisp Cantaloupe!

I specifically designed this card to match the lap quilt I made for Mother’s Day so Mum can keep warm and cozy when she curls up in her favourite reading chair with a good book.

The quilt fabric on the back of the quilt came from the Literary range by Heather Givens, which seemed especially fitting given Mum’s name is Heather and she’s a retired English teacher ❤️

I even used the fabric selvedge as one of the quilt’s book spines. Such a fun detail for fellow book lovers!

Week 1 of the 2026-27 AWH Colour Creations Insta Hop is here and we are starting soft and pretty with Barely Blush.

This brand new 2026–28 In Colour is the most delicate pink. Perfect for florals, backgrounds and anything that needs a gentle touch.

For this card I paired Barely Blush with Soft Sea Foam, added texture with the Eyelet Embossing Folder and finished it with a bold white heat embossed sentiment on Basic Black.

I've also add my own detail to one of the vases, using a Stampin' Up! 0.4 mm Journaling Pen to create a dotted pattern.

Products used:
Barely Blush Stampin’ Blends
Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends
Artisan Sketched Garden DSP
Eyelet Embossing Folder
Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set
0.4 mm Journaling Pen

Week 50 (our final AWH Colour Creations hop for 2025–26) finishes with Summer Splash, and I went with a fun side latch card for this one.

The colour combo came straight from the gorgeous Florals in Bloom DSP: Summer Splash, Timid Tiger, Cloud Cover and Secret Sea.

After making the card I realised I’d accidentally used Basic Gray for the latch, but honestly, it ended up coordinating really well with the colour combo.

Die cut circles from the Stylish Shapes dies, die cut foliage from the Help Me Grow Dies and a few 2025–2027 In Colour Flat Pearls make a simple latch mechanism to hold the card closed.

Soft Sea Foam, but make it layered!

For Week 49 of our AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, I’ve paired Soft Sea Foam with Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Basic White for a soft, layered birthday card.

Sometimes taking inspiration from a design you love is exactly what you need to spark creativity and try something new. This card was inspired by the very talented Stampin’ Up! Artisan Tammy Wilson, and I’ve added my own twist to her card, using current products that I own.

There’s texture, bunting, florals and just a little sparkle with those iridescent pearls. I love how it all came together. Many of the products I’ve used on this card are currently reduced and in the Last Chance section of the website , so if you love them, don’t wait too long.

Confession time… this week didn’t quite go to plan 😅

For Week 48 of our AWH Colour Creations we are showcasing Smoky Slate. I finished my first card and thought “love it!” before I realised I hadn’t actually used Smoky Slate at all. Oops! The DSP I used was actually Gray Granite and Basic Beige!

So… take two

Card two brings it back to the colour we are showcasing this week: Smoky Slate. The DSP design combines Smoky Slate with Basic Gray DSP.

I used the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Papers on both cards to create simple strip layouts, layered on Basic Black card bases for that rich, moody contrast. These artistic, slightly moody landscapes felt perfect for sympathy cards.

Sometimes the easiest techniques create the most striking results. Just trim, space and layer.

Both cards feature sentiments from the Friendly Foliage Stamp Set, with a matching sentiment and image inside to tie everything together.

I'm so glad I accidentally made the first card. Sometimes a happy mistake just means you get to make two cards instead of one.

Next up is Kate … go check out her beautiful project/s!

Shy Shamrock Capturing Smiles Hello Card 💚📸

Week 47 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations is all about Shy Shamrock… and it’s nearly time to say goodbye to this 2024–26 In Colour 💚

So I’ve paired something old with something new…

✨ Old favourites (soon to be retired):
Shy Shamrock cardstock + ink
Beautiful Patterns 3D Embossing Folder
Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems

✨ New loves (March Online Exclusives):
Capturing Smiles Bundle
Help Me Grow Bundle

The embossed background is blended with Shy Shamrock ink to really bring out that gorgeous texture. Such a simple technique, but it makes all the difference.

The focal point is this adorable layered vintage camera, heat embossed in silver on Basic Black cadstock for a bold, modern contrast 📸.

I’ve softened the look with Pretty in Pink florals, lightly blended for extra depth, Shy Shamrock foliage and finished with a simple “hello” sentiment and a few Pretty in Pink gems.

💚 Fresh green
🌸 Soft pink
🖤 Bold black
✨ A touch of silver

Such a pretty combination.

⚽ Week 46: Shaded Spruce ⚽

Game on!

This week’s Art With Heart Colour Creations project is all about Shaded Spruce, and I couldn’t go past the brand new A Wonderful Match Suite collection from Stampin’ Up!

From the outside it looks like a classic card… but open it up and surprise… a double pop-up step card that creates a full soccer scene complete with goal, field and floating match day details.

This suite made it so easy to build the theme with coordinating:
✔️ Soccer imagery
✔️ Designer Series Paper
✔️ Sentiments like Match Day and Let’s Go!

I’ve layered different greens to bring the field to life, with Shaded Spruce anchoring the whole design.

And that little goal with the net… definitely my favourite detail ⚽ For the pop-up element with the soccer goal I've used an acetate window sheet so the recipient can see through the net to the soccer themed DSP behind.

✨ Head to the blog for all the details and a closer look at this fun fold. https://whatcathymade.com.au/week-46-shaded-spruce-double-pop-up-step-card-with-the-a-wonderful-match-suite-collection/

❤️ Week 44 – Real Red and a little DSP challenge!

Hands up if you’ve been saving your Designer Series Paper for “something special”… 🙋‍♀️

This week I decided it is the something special and created two card designs using the gorgeous Love Notes DSP… including all those little scraps we usually hold onto.

✨ A Double Point Fun Fold card to showcase multiple patterns in one design
✨ A Heartfelt Hexagon window card using a patchwork of smaller pieces

Both cards are designed to help you use more of your DSP, mix patterns and make the most of every last bit.

Because let’s be honest, DSP is too pretty to sit in a drawer!

If your stash is growing, this is your sign to start cutting, layering and enjoying it ❤️
