Birthday cake, watercolour stripes and a fancy fold that lets the beautiful paper shine! 🎂💕

Welcome to Week 23 of the AWHT InstaHop 2026–27! A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and this week we’re creating with Flirty Flamingo.

My Double Door Fancy Fold Card features the Words & Wishes Bundle and the stunning Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper. This fold is such a lovely way to showcase coordinating patterns, with more beautiful panels revealed as you open the card.

The DSP inspired my colour combination: Flirty Flamingo, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight and Timid Tiger, with Basic White.

I coloured the birthday cake using Stampin’ Blends, added textured die-cut leaves in Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock, and finished with Basic Rhinestones coloured with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends for a little birthday sparkle. ✨

I also made a custom-sized white envelope, decorating the flap with matching striped DSP and adding a coordinating “happy birthday” banner.

Untie the bow… there’s a little Christmas surprise inside! 🐭🎄🎁

For Week 22 of the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations InstaHop, our Week A group is showcasing Early Espresso as we hop through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

I’ve used this rich chocolate brown as the base for a Christmas shadow box card featuring the adorable A Little Christmas Suite Collection. The shadow box frame is constructed from basic white card stock, sitting inside a card base made with Early Espresso Two-Tone Card stock.

On the front, a little mouse is keeping an eye on the presents and a box of tiny candy canes. Open the card and you’ll discover a Christmas tree scene from the A Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, framed by a wreath and another sweet mouse ready to deliver a gift!

I fussy cut presents from the same paper to layer along the shadow box frame . The mice are coloured with Stampin’ Blends, with the festive accessories picking up colours from the paper.

Basic White panels cut with the Perennial Postage Dies, while Christmas Epoxy Shapes and a baker’s twine bow complete this little Christmas keepsake.

My favourite part? That little mouse holding a present inside the frame! What catches your eye? ✨

Who says a poinsettia die can’t be used to make a sunflower? Not me! 🌻

For Week 21 of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, we are showcasing the warm and cheerful Darling Duckling.

I’ve seen a few clever crafters create sunflowers using the Pretty Poinsettia Dies, so I thought I would give it a go too!

My colour palette is Darling Duckling, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso and Pecan Pie.

The Pretty Poinsettia Dies created the layered sunflowers and the foliage, while the Help Me Grow Dies die cut the Wood Grain Wonders DSP for the flowerpot and sunflower centres.

For the background, I simply had to use the sunflower-patterned paper from the Radiant Foils Specialty DSP. The copper foil details add a beautiful glow to the card.

A happy birthday sentiment from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set and a double Linen Thread bow add the finishing touches.

✨ Heart of Christmas 2026 – Week 3 ✨

I love combining hot foiling, heat embossing and Gold Foil to create elegant Christmas cards with plenty of beautiful shine and texture.

For this week’s projects, I used the Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Dies, Festive Cheer Bundle, Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder and Delicate Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The colour combination of Basic White, Basic Beige, Old Olive and gold creates a soft, sophisticated Christmas look. Gold heat-embossed sentiments add the perfect finishing touch.

Bright, cheerful and made to celebrate a milestone!

This week’s Daffodil Delight project combines sunny yellow blooms with the beautiful shine of gold foil for a special 60th birthday card.

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 20 is all about Daffodil Delight.

I used two of the new hot foil dies - the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die and the Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Dies. I coloured the foiled flowers with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to make them pop against the gold foiling and the Basic Black card base.

The finishing touches are Gilded Wings Accents, which are now on the Last Chance list, and Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots.

Inside the card, I used a sentiment from the Framed All Around Stamp Set, also on the Last Chance list. A leftover strip of foiled card stock and another Gilded Wings butterfly carry the gold details through to the inside.

It is so hard to capture the amazing shine of the foil in a photo. It looks even more beautiful when it catches the light!

Heart of Christmas 2026 | Week 2 🎄| Neutral Noel Single Step Card

This week I’ve created a Neutral Noel Single Step Card, featuring a layered Christmas village in Pecan Pie, Mossy Meadow, Basic White and gold.

The single step fold creates several levels for the houses and trees, while Gold Timeless Metallic Specialty Paper adds a warm glow behind the windows and a little Christmas sparkle to the stars.

I’ve also created a FREE downloadable PDF tutorial, complete with the supply list, measurements, cutting guide and step-by-step instructions.

Did you know you can use the pieces in a Stampin’ Up! kit to create your own card variations?

For our AWH Colour Creations Insta hop, Week 19: Crushed Curry, I've used the brand new Floral Promenade Kit, featuring stunning water coloured flowers that pop beautifully against the Kraft card bases and layers.

This kit was so beautiful I firstly made up both cards exactly as instructed before I used the same components to create my own variation: a simple easel card.

All it took was one extra fold in the front of the Kraft card base, plus a layer of Crushed Curry card stock behind the floral panel. Inside, the large pre-cut “comfort” sentiment is raised on Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold the easel in place.

There’s also an adorable little bonus in this kit: the new Premium Stampin’ Spot! This is the first kit to include the new-style ink spot, which will replace the original Stampin’ Spots in kits from now on.

The Floral Promenade Kit colours are Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Gorgeous Grape, Kraft, Melon Mambo and Old Olive. They are just so pretty together!

The Heart of Christmas blog hop is back for 2026 and I’m beginning the new series with a little creative inspiration from Christmas past!

This week, I’ve CASEd a beautiful Christmas card that was created by Mikaela from The Crafty Oink Pen in 2025.

There were so many details I loved about Mikaela’s original design: the embossing folder positioned on an angle, the gorgeous neutral palette of dark green, cream and dark brown, the stamping directly onto Designer Series Paper, and the use of the Perennial Postage Dies.

For my version, I changed the colour scheme to a limited palette inspired by the Yuletide Carols Designer Series Paper, using **Basic Beige and Early Espresso**.

The foliage was die cut using the large oval wreath die from the Noel Tidings Dies, then snipped apart to create individual branches. I stamped the “Sending Cheer” sentiment directly onto the Yuletide Carols DSP and finished the card with Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots and a bow of Early Espresso baker’s twine.

Inside, I added more stamped foliage and the sentiment “From our home to yours”.

I love how the angled embossing and layers of foliage add so much interest while keeping the colour palette beautifully simple.

How many different Crumb Cake DSP patterns can you fit onto one card? 🤎

It’s Week 18 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations InstaHop and this week we’re creating with Crumb Cake.

With Father’s Day this Sunday, I’ve made a Crumb Cake and white slimline card that’s all about pattern, texture and dimension.

The oversized HAPPY uses five different DSP patterns:
🤎 H – Everyday Essentials Mix & Match DSP
🤎 A – Beautiful Gallery DSP
🤎 P – Nature Walk DSP
🤎 P – Everyday Essentials Mix & Match DSP
🤎 Y – Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP

I mounted each piece of DSP onto Adhesive Foam Sheets before die cutting the letters, giving them plenty of dimension against the Softly Woven embossed Basic White background.

The smaller FATHER’S DAY was die cut from Crumb Cake cardstock using the Mini Alphabet Dies.

And because I love a slimline card, I handmade a matching envelope from Wood Grain Wonders DSP. I think that subtle woodgrain is the perfect finishing touch for a Father’s Day card.

I love how much interest you can create with essentially just Crumb Cake, Basic White, Designer Series Paper patterns and embossing folder texture.

It’s Week 17 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop, and this week we’re creating with the gorgeous Coastal Cabana. 💚

I decided to make something a little different this week: a tri-fold arch card using the stunning Valley in Bloom Suite Collection.

I used the three largest Everyday Arches Dies to create the card and its layers, and I love how the three arches open out into one continuous design. Even better, it stands up beautifully, making it a gorgeous card to put on display.

My colour combination came straight from the Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper:
🌿 Coastal Cabana
🌿 Darling Duckling
🌿 Garden Green
🌿 Lemon Lime Twist

The lily of the valley images were stamped, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and die cut using the Lily of the Valley Bundle.

I also tried something fun with the Luxe White Specialty Designer Series Paper, using a Blending Brush to softly add Coastal Cabana ink while allowing the beautiful white pattern to show through. Swipe through for a closer look at how I created it!
