Theatre Games session August 16 [2 weekends ago]

Lead by cool cucumber Paul, this one involved us weaving random key words into part of wider story and taking on board unusual constraints while still striving to push a scene onward and into some interesting story direction.

Highlights included (but definitely not limited to!) ...

a) Scenes operating in worlds where everyone is called Terry, Terri, Terrence, or similar. 😀

b) Astrophysics ... The Game Show!
(Not all gas giants are cut from the same cloth! And poor Neptune always gets short-shifted by gaudy Saturn 🙄😜 )

c) Multiple call-backs to the ancient philosopher, Pennayus, and his pernicious propositions about the private parts of his own and other males 😄😆
(Yes, that was as cool and as outrageous as it sounds!)

The next session will be at Parramatta on September 13. [No, none more this month, August 😖 ]

Theatre Games in the Park session, August 2, Parramatta [7 days ago]

"Groovy" led us in this one and looked after first-timers and veterans alike! 😀👏👏

Amongst the many games that were played, there was an emphasis on adapting to changing circumstances within the scene. Or, alternatively, being able to handle the scene - and even keep on telling a story - despite constraints such as limited number of words or staying within a set emotion all-scene.

Needless to say, players were both challenged and entertained! 😁😀👏👏
