We have just finished casting for our upcoming production of Richard III to go on in March 2019!
We will introduce the cast in the coming weeks but for now I would like to sincerely thank every single person that applied and auditioned for our production- we where absolutely overwhelmed with amazingly talented people and it truly made me wish we weren't doing small cast Shakespeare with the amount of supremely talented people we had to turn away!
To those who didn't get an audition I would like to apologize for not being able to see you, we intended to get everyone who was able in for an audition- I believe the perfect actor for a role is rarely found based on their CV and head shot alone- but with so many people we had to make some brutally superficial decisions and those who didn't get an offer to audition got the short end of that reality, I hope you understand it was in no way a comment on your ability or skill- we do thank you very much for applying.
For those who did get an audition and were not accepted thank you for your time and effort, I know preparing for an audition takes much longer than the 15-30 min you are actually in the room and we very much appreciate that.
Although from a casting point of view you want nothing more than to be overwhelmed by actors perfectly capable of the roles, I can tell you having been on both sides of the casting desk there is literally no part of the casting process doesn't suck! it has been horrible telling so many amazing actors I don't have a role for them-
And so before we talk about those who will be in our upcoming cast I waned to take a moment to thank each and every person who applied and who turned up to audition for us.
