Australian Hellenic Choir — Preserving Greek Music, Language and Culture in Australia
Hello. I am posting on behalf of the Australian Hellenic Choir, a not-for-profit ensemble dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich legacy of Greek music, language and culture here in Australia.
We’re currently seeking benefactors and patrons who share our passion for Hellenic heritage and wish to support our upcoming concerts and cultural initiatives.
Introducing the Choir
The Australian Hellenic Choir is made up of volunteer singers from across Sydney and beyond.
Our mission is simple but powerful — to keep the songs of Theodorakis, Hadjidakis, Markopoulos, Xarharkos, Kougioumtzis, and other great composers, inspiring new generations through performance, education, and community connection.
We perform at major venues, collaborate with orchestras, and host events that bring together people of all ages to celebrate our shared identity.
The Vision
As you know, preserving culture through music is not just about entertainment — it’s about memory, language, and belonging.
Every concert we produce involves significant costs — venue hire, orchestra, music arrangements, rehearsal space, and production.
This is where the generosity of benefactors like yourself can make a lasting difference.
Your support helps ensure that these timeless songs — the heartbeat of Greek culture — continue to echo through Australia’s concert halls
The Opportunity for Benefactors
We offer several ways for benefactors to be involved:
• Named Patronage — Your name or company acknowledged in concert programs, banners, and media releases.
• Event Sponsorship — Support specific concerts, such as our Mikis Theodorakis Centenary Celebration or Christmas Concert.
• Cultural Partnership — For organisations that value community engagement and cultural visibility.
• Philanthropic Donations — One-off or ongoing contributions to sustain the choir’s artistic and educational mission.
Every contribution, large or small, directly supports the choir’s artistic work and community outreach.
We’d love to invite you to join our circle of benefactors — individuals and families who believe in keeping our heritage alive through song.
I’d be delighted to send you a short proposal outlining how your support can make a meaningful impact. Would that be okay? Let me know by messaging me directly or calling the number below.
Together, we can ensure that the melodies of Greece continue to inspire audiences across generations.
With gratitude,
Jim Tsolakis
