Sydney Artists Retreat connecting and encouraging creatives In 2012, founders Helen, Hayley and Jess were excited to launch the first annual Sydney Artists Retreat.

In late 2011, a number of conversations were being had amongst a number of individuals who shared a common vision: to create a place of connection and encouragement for artists of the Christian faith. It is our prayer that, Sydney Artists Retreat will be a connection point for Christians working in and with the arts and who are keen to explore the synthesis between art and faith. treat strives to nurture creativity in Christian writers, painters, poets, playwrights, composers, performers, sculptors, dancers, singers, songwriters, photographers and artists and creatives in general. With the gift of time and inspiring space, as well as a supportive faith community, creatives and artists alike are invited to retreat for 4 full days to invest in the development of their gifts, skills, perspective and Christian faith. We pray Sydney Artists Retreat will contribute to a growing network of Christian artists, existing for the purpose of support and collaboration. This is an open, respectful and non-denominational gathering. Sydney Artist Retreat is an annual Annandale Creative Arts Centre event, organised by members of the ACAC community. The people part of this collective really make Sydney Artists Retreat what it is.

Hi friends,

Sadly, we can now report that we won’t be able to go ahead with the Sydney Artists Retreat in April. Retreat organisers and associated parties have agreed that this is the best way forward. Unfortunately, due the intimate nature of the retreat, despite our best efforts in practicing good hygiene in our accommodation, gatherings and during meal times, we would not be able to confidently maintain the advised physical distancing. In addition, it is likely that we would be impacted in the future by the Government's ongoing restrictions on face to face gatherings.

We will be contacting individually those who have already registered and paid to discuss the next steps.

For now, stay well and safe, and stay connected. Reflect, share, and when needed take a break to retreat from the noise and spend some time creating in your own space.

Registrations for Sydney Artists Retreat 2020 are now open!

Join us over five days and four nights in beautiful Blackheath in the Blue Mountains for some time to retreat refresh, create and gather in community, exploring faith and creativity in a safe, encouraging environment.

Cosy cottage accommodation, delicious food and plenty of creative time and space are all included. Spots are very limited. Register now!

Announcing, Sydney Artists Retreat 2020!!

Sydney Artists Retreat returns to an Autumn date, taking place April 25th - 29th (ANZAC day long weekend + a couple of days), in beautiful Blackheath, NSW in the Blue Mountains.

Thank you so much to those who have submitted regos, and sent through deposits and final payments. Please send through final payments tonight unless you have told us that you need some extra time to pay.

IMPORTANT: We are extremely close to capacity, and paid registrations will take priority over those received without any deposit. If you have registered but have not provided any payment, you will need to send through payment tonight. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to hold on to a spot for you.
