❤️ RALLY IN RED – SUPPORT MARIAN STREET THEATRE ❤️

This Sunday, North Shore Theatre Company will be standing with the community to support the future of Marian Street Theatre in Killara, and we invite you to join us.

While Ku-ring-gai Council has a number of community halls, most spaces are ideal for meetings, rehearsals or community events, but lack the stage, lighting, sound, backstage facilities and technical infrastructure needed to produce live theatre. Looking across the LGA, the contrast is striking: there are more than 40 sporting fields, yet fewer than a handful of venues with any form of stage and almost none that can genuinely support a theatre production. This isn’t about comparing the arts to sport; it’s about recognising that both play an important role in a thriving community and both deserve appropriate spaces.

The arts inspire confidence, creativity, connection and belonging. They provide opportunities for young people to find their voice, volunteers to give back, and communities to come together through shared stories.

We believe every community across the North Shore deserves access to quality performing arts facilities, not just the councils that already have theatres.

If you believe the arts matter and want to see Marian Street Theatre become part of the community again, we’d love to see you there.

North Shore Theatre Company is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation built by extraordinary people donating their time and skills.

Every one of our shows exists because someone has put their hand up to help. That generosity is the heartbeat of community theatre, and without those people, the lights go out, the curtain stays closed, and the stories never reach the stage.

The magic on stage only exists because of the kindness behind it.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the legends already in our corner and looking for more brilliant humans to join us.

Want to be part of the team behind the curtain?

Farewell to our amazing production of Frozen JR! This was an unforgettable and magical journey. ❄️✨

We had the privilege of bringing the world of Arendelle to the North Shore, and we honestly don’t think words can fully express how proud and grateful we are for everything that was achieved both on and off the stage.

With two completely sold out performances and several others incredibly close to selling out, we are so thankful for the overwhelming support shown by our audiences and community. Seeing so many people embrace and support local theatre meant the absolute world to us.

We are also beyond proud to have presented our very first sensory-friendly and AUSLAN interpreted performance as part of this production. Creating a more inclusive and accessible theatre experience was incredibly important to us, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make this possible.

So much hard work went into this show! Not only from our brilliant cast and production team, but from the countless volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this production to life. From costumes, props, sets, lighting, sound, backstage crew, front of house, marketing, parent chaperones, the NSTC committee and every little detail in between, this show was built on dedication, passion and teamwork. We are beyond proud of the many volunteers who generously gave their time, energy and heart to make the magic happen.

To our two incredible lead casts and our ever-present ensemble, thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm and dedication throughout this entire process. Your talent, friendship and love for this production shone brightly in every performance. NSTC is incredibly proud to have you as part of our community, and we truly hope to work with you all again in the future.

Thank you for supporting community theatre, young performers, local creatives and the volunteers who make productions like this possible. Your encouragement, applause and support mean the world to us.

This production may have come to an end, but the memories, friendships and magic created throughout this journey will stay with us for a very long time.

To our cast, parents, crew and volunteers.... Frozen JR on three! 1, 2, 3..... 💙💕
