Digital Storytellers is a story consultancy, digital production company and collective of creative storytellers who are deeply passionate about social change and who work specifically in the sphere of social impact. Founded on the pursuit of truth, motivated by the uniqueness of every story, and driven by the urgent need for justice (both

social and environmental), we're on a mission to empower a wider community of purpose-driven leaders to harness the power of story and change systems for the better. We work with organisations and individuals spanning the worlds of business, not for profit, government, education and ecosystem enablement, and lead our field by helping our clients amplify their impact in a unique way through Strategic Storytelling, Story Leadership and the Democratisation of Story. We offer strategic story consultations, storytelling workshops, film productions and graphic scribing, with a specific focus on telling social and environmental impact stories. We embrace regenerative principles in business and story and are passionate advocates for a shift in business for good. Stories connect us and help us make sense of the world around us. In these challenging times, we can create a better world by telling stories that matter and shaping more inclusive narratives that hold a vision for the world as it is and as it could be.

📣 Pathways to Purpose is back for 2026, and applications are now open.

This is a free mentoring and career development program for emerging filmmakers, content creators, and experienced storytellers ready to step into impact-driven work 🌱.

Over 11 weeks, you'll train with industry mentors, work with purpose-driven organisations across Sydney, and produce a short impact film from start to finish.

Supported by the of Sydney. Hosted at our Impact Story Lab in Darlinghurst.

This Friday, Digital Storytellers is coming to Brisbane and we couldn't be more excited about who's leading the room.

Meet Julia 🙂

Julia Lörsch started her career where so many Australian storytellers do - on the set of Neighbours. From there she moved into documentary, working with SBS and directing over 50 impact shorts as co-head of production at Digital Storytellers.

But she didn't stop there.

In 2023, her film The Oyster Gardner premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and aired on ABC. Last year, The Art Side of the Moon won People's Choice at the Toronto Alternative Film Festival.
And in 2026, both films will be launched to the moon (😱) - part of a permanent NASA cultural archive, carrying human stories into the universe.

This Friday, she's bringing all of that into a room to help you find and shape the story only you can tell.
