Joshua Robson Productions is looking for an assistant director/choreographer (one position) for their upcoming production of The Addams Family at the Hayes Theatre in 2026.
These roles are looking for early career creatives who are looking for more experience in a professional setting.
Duties and responsibilities
🔹Working in collaboration with the Director and Creative Team to realise the artistic aims of the production
🔹Attending, supporting and participating in production and creative team meetings, rehearsals, technical rehearsals and preview performances of the Production up to and including the Opening Night Performance, as required
🔹Supporting the director and stage management team with scheduling and overseeing rehearsals
🔹Working with covers, noting, and maintaining the show throughout the run
Key dates:
Applications close October 31st
Interviews week commencing Nov 10th
Rehearsals start June 15
First performance July 11
Final performance August 9
Eligibility:
🔹Applicants must be Sydney based
🔹This production is a profit share production with a guaranteed fee
🔹Must be fully available for the duration of the production (see key dates)

- Why are you interested in working on this production? (100 words max)
- What are two specific things you want to learn through assisting? (100 words max)
- What is a recent show you’ve seen, one thing you liked about it, and one thing you would change? (100 words max)
Shortlisted applicants will then meet with the creative team for an interview round before final selection.
