How to encapsulate a show?
We started off in a hurricane of sound at a karaoke joint, appreciated the delights of an orchestra, giggled with grandchildren, went down the wormholes of internet dating and then emerged gloriously with a first date becoming a spouse.
And that was just the first third of the show.

We met a nun in Dhaka, who took us meditating.
We met the spirits of our making at the red centre.
And our rollerblades met the glass window of our youth.

We can never tell what will be told.
The best is to come and see yourself what emerges.

A warm and wonderful thanks all round to those of you who came along to Under A Winter Sky on Sunday.

It was a joy to spend the evening with you.

The short moments were full of wintry destinations like Helsinki and Prague contrasted with Darwin, Ping Pong and playing netball in the rain.

Then the stories hit a great depth, and the arc of the night carved out an exquiste trilogy, from autumn to winter to spring.

The first story was of a friendship that turned into loss, then grief. This was followed by the second teller finding herself in isolation then separation, and resulting in a vow renewal of sorts.
The last story told of what could grow after loss, after grief, a different love can reveal itself.

As usual, we did not know where it would go. Thank you for a wonderful night of stories. For taking us there and being moved alongside us.

As we emerge from the darkest point of the year, where are you at?
