Sanding usually means dust on everything you own. Ours doesn’t. The Mirka system pulls dust straight off the disc as we work, so your floors, walls and furniture stay exactly as we found them. Same finish, none of the cleanup. Mirka ANZ | Best Abrasives Mirka Australia & New Zealand Mirka Asia Pacific

Not every deck wants a floor sander.
Screws sitting just below the surface? A heavy machine will cut past them and leave the heads standing proud. One pass and the boards are thinner than they need to be, forever.
Knowing when not to reach for the big machine is most of the job.

Decks. Teak. Dining tables. Same answer every time — don’t replace it, renew it.
Dust-free sanding, premium finishes, timber that outlives the trend.

Put the sandpaper down.
Teak restoration isn’t a weekend job — it’s a craft. Dust-free sanding, premium Scandinavian-grade finishes, furniture that looks better than the day it was delivered.
Don’t DIY. Let Förnya do it properly.

The best finish is the one you can’t see.
This table was stripped back and finished in Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C Invisible — a molecular bond with the timber fibre, not a film sitting on top. No orange cast, no plastic sheen, no darkening. Just raw-looking timber that now shrugs off red wine.
Matches the chairs at last. ✔️

Please don’t varnish your teak.
Varnish sits on the timber, not in it. Teak’s natural oils push back against it, and the moment that film cracks — usually a season or two in — water gets underneath. Then it lifts, flakes, goes milky white, and the beautiful grain you paid for disappears under something that looks like peeling sunburn.
And stripping it back? That’s not a weekend. That’s chemical stripper, days of careful sanding, and a lot of patience — because every trace has to come off before the timber can breathe again. A restoration job ten times the size of the maintenance you were trying to avoid.

The finish you can’t see is the one that shows everything.
Invisible Protector has one job: make protected timber look like raw timber. Which means there’s no colour, no film, no sheen to hide behind. Every shortcut in the process ends up on display.
Where it goes wrong:

Sanding. 120–150 grit, uniform, everywhere. One patch over-sanded and the product can’t pe*****te — it fails right there, months later.
Application weight. Too much isn’t extra protection. It’s white haze. The fix: sand back to raw.
The stir. Matting agents settle like sediment. Stir wrong and you get matte here, semi-gloss there — visible only after cure.
Invisible contamination. Old silicone, finger oils, hidden moisture. You can’t see any of it. The adhesion failure comes anyway.
Wipe timing. Too early strips protection. Too late locks in wipe marks. The window is minutes — and it shifts with the weather.
Climate. Datasheet numbers come from a lab. Your deck has sun, wind and humidity that rewrite them daily.
No test patch. Teak fights it. Dense hardwoods barely drink it. Test on this timber or you’re guessing.

There’s no touch-up coat with this product. Wrong means starting over from bare wood.
Done right? The closest thing to protected raw timber that exists.
We’ve already made the mistakes. So you don’t have to.

“I love the timber — I just don’t want it orange.”
It’s the most common thing we hear about outdoor furniture. You invested in beautiful teak or hardwood pieces imagining that pale, relaxed Scandi look. Soft, natural, understated.
Then the “clear” oil went on… and it turned orange. Or worse, red.
Here’s the truth: that light Scandinavian finish doesn’t come from picking a “natural” or “clear” tin off the shelf. It comes from the right preparation, the right product system, and knowing how your specific timber takes colour. Teak behaves differently to eucalypt. New timber differently to weathered.
That’s our craft.
You bring the vision — we bring the method. Send us a photo of your furniture and the look you’re after, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable and exactly how we’d get there.
