-What is this Chemical X thing? Chemical X is a club/event thing by the people, for the people. It's a place for us to chill out or rock out, whichever you'd prefer.
- Who the f**k are you guys? We're a couple of people who've been in and out of the alternative clubbing community for a while: managing, photographing, deejaying. You might recognise one of us. You might not. Main thing is, we're o
ne of you.
- Is it really FREE? Yes, it's really free. There is NO ENTRY FEE. It's our own equipment and our own music. We've hired out the basement lounge of Star Bar to create a place to hang out with our friends and do s**t our way. Or your way, if you come along.
- Are drinks free? We're magical and amazing but we're not f**king millionaires. Buy your own booze from the bar and bring your charming selves and friends, and we'll provide the rest.
- How is this different from other alternative clubs/events?
1) First and foremost, we're here to HAVE FUN. We don't care about making money off you. Not yet anyway. We want you to come along, get your drink on, rock your socks off.
2) We ACTUALLY PLAY ALTERNATIVE MUSIC. How many times have you gone up to the DJ and asked to hear a song you know everyone would go nuts to? How many times have you been disappointed up to half an hour later? We will actually listen to what you say. If you wanna hear something, chances are we'll play it as long as it's not Lady GaGa or something. Even if we don't have your song, we'll get it for the next event.
- How often is Chemical X going to run? At this point we're just starting out, so anywhere from every 2 weeks to every month. But help us build this s**t up and come along every time we run, and we can bump this up to a weekly thing. More questions? Message us or leave a wall post.
