A Mic in Hand is one of Australia's best and longest running stand-up comedy rooms and great value for money, featuring comics from all around the country and international acts as well as constant surprises in the open mic section. ight every week. We're looking forward to spreading our wings a bit in 2022 and bringing some new and exciting shows and acts onto our stage. You’ll see us breaking format a lot to release some secret dreams of some of Australia’s hardest working comedians to welcome improv, theatre, burlesque, radio plays, comedy musicals, forums and lots and lots of trial and resurrected festival shows to keep things interesting for you, Australia’s best comedy audience. RIP Dave Jory. A wonderful comedian, writer, singer, friend and everything else. A caring and wise soul who will be greatly missed. He performed on many nights at A Mic in Hand and failed to turn up to many more. All our love and best wishes to Rebecca Gray
