We’re heading to SALON 2026!

PYT Fairfield is excited to be taking part in this year’s SALON 2026 - Arts on Tour’s key industry event, presented in partnership with the Seymour Centre Sydney.

On Wednesday 22 July, we’ll be sharing a company update on our ready-to-tour work Hayat Amina (Safe Life) and one of our current works-in-development Finding Jody Jenkins, alongside a snapshot of our broader company work and future directions.

We’re looking forward to connecting with producers, presenters, and artist peers from across the sector. If you’re a theatre maker interested in coming along feel free to book your tix and attend - these events are as much for you as it is people who are pitching!

THATS A WRAP ON PYT’S MASTERCLASSES 🎓

After 6 weeks of our intensive masterclasses, Acting & Playreading and Directing for the Stage and Screen, our students have officially wrapped up their last session and graduated from our Masterclass Program!

It’s been an incredible time with participants both new and familiar to PYT, coming through our doors every Tuesday evening. Much like last year’s program, this years Masterclasses were intergenerational, reminding us that no matter your age - it’s never too late to learn.

Huge shoutout to our Creative Producer of Programming & New Work, Gabriela Green Olea, who has spent the past week in Singapore representing PYT at the ISPA 2026 Singapore Congress which officially wraps up today!

Joined by her partner Warren Foster, Gabriela has been sharing the incredible work being created at PYT Fairfield with artists, presenters and industry leaders from around the world.

ColliderFest is a free family-friendly festival, coming to Bradfield City on Saturday 6 June, 2026. For one exciting day, Bradfield City’s First Building will come alive with hands-on activities, interactive art and creative experiences inspired by science, technology, engineering, arts and maths.

We're delighted to introduce you to the cream-of-the-crop in archiving land!

Welcome to the team Luke and Samira, who are working closely with PYT to build a digital archive of the past 39 years in time for our 40th birthday celebrations next year. Luke and Samira have been archiving and digitising every piece of PYT and reminding us every day of our exciting past.

It's a rare thing to be able to undertake such detailed and meticulous work with such warmth and enthusiasm and we look forward to every day they're in the office.

PYT was busy yesterday delivering the first of 6 Tinker Tours for Bradfield City's first building. The booked out session included a tour of the building with the Bradfield STEAM Council and a workshop on hyperbolic paraboloids, delivered by STEAMPop!
