Accessible Arts is seeking donations in support of Accessible Arts’ Bundanon Residency Fundraiser which will help send 5 amazing artists with disability to the prestigious Bundanon Trust for a career changing creative experience.

Accessible Arts is NSW’s peak arts and disability organisation. Because of the COVID impact, they need to raise $10,000 to deliver this program. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you’ll get to engage personally with all the participating artists via online channels.

Lucas Wright (pictured) was one of the resident artists last year and his residency enabled him to create four new works for an exhibition at the Lismore Regional Gallery..

Please help Accessible Arts give artists with disability the chance to take their art and career to the next level. https://www.givenow.com.au/bundanonresidencyfundraiser

"Audiences may be rejoicing at the news, but the bums-on-seats business model the industry relies on makes social distancing rules unsustainable. Given that the arts industry was the first to shut down, and will be one of the last to re-open, its future is looking increasingly imperilled."

This excellent graphic by Origin8 Design Limited is an excellent demonstration of the complex network of relationships that make up the theatre industry. It's important to remember that the theatre industry is much bigger than that which an audience sees on the stage. For every show a theatre produces, an economy is created involving full time staff, casuals, freelancers, contractors, related industries such as hospitality and travel, and more.

Everyone in this chain benefits from the income derived from a show, giving an indication of the theatre economy's reach.
