We had our first Drawing II Intermediate class on Saturday that was an excursion to make studies, and notes for a 7 week project.

It was a grey day on Sydney Harbour but everyone found a little nook and worked away on their studies. This Saturday we begin the deep dive preparation for large finished drawings.

We can take two more students if you can bring in studies for a project based course.

Drawing II begins this Saturday with an excursion to Jones Bay Wharf. We have three spots available.

For this drawing course we spend the first day on-site learning how artists make studies that are meaningful and useful as reference material for works created and developed in the studio.

Weeks 2 – 7 in this course are spent in the studio with experienced artist Carmel Byrne. We guide you through the process to develop concepts, and to experiment with extended ideas through materials and scale. All works can remain in the studio for the run of this course.
