Flamenco Australia is returning to the studio this Sunday, 4 October 2026, offering specialized Flamenco dance sessions.

The classes are led by Marina Tamayo, Flamenco choreographer and artist.
# # Class Schedule & Levels

* 9:00 am – 10:00 am: Adult Beginners (Expression of Interest).
* 10:00 am – 11:00 am: General Open Technique (For dancers with prior experience).
* 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Performance Levels.

Thrilled to share the results of one of my HPGE students in the recent Hong Kong dance competitions Dance Evolution.

Zara took 1st place in three categories.
We are thrilled with these results. Whilst competitions are not our focus, we do use them as third party critique, a check in, and we road test the choreography on various stages.

Currently my youngest student, Zara studies by one to one coaching. We created a traditional Alegrias, ensuring Zara's natural expression framed the authenticity of this work, honouring traditional storytelling and structure.

As a professional educator, I firmly believe that continuous upskilling and ongoing training are foundational to strong pedagogy and form the vanguard of high-quality education. True instructional excellence relies on constantly refining our strategies and methodologies.

Pa Sevilla...

Looking forward to my residency in Sevilla collaborar y crear con artistas increibles in what will be an unforgetable experience.

Lucky for me, coincidence or pure destiny the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco is currently underway in Seville, running from September 9 to October 3, 2026.

Established in 1980, this prestigious event occurs every two years, transforming Seville into the global capital of arte jondo (deep flamenco art).

The festival brings together established masters and the new generation of creators to dialogue between orthodox tradition and contemporary experimentation across 72 performances.

This year's lineup features renowned artists such as Sara Baras, José Mercé, Israel Fernández, Farruquito, and Andrés Marín, showcasing the core pillars of the art form: cante (singing), baile (dancing), and toque (guitar playing).
