CODA is looking for a home. 🤍

We have a pretty big dream - to create a permanent home for accessible theatre in Sydney’s Inner West, on Gadigal Land

A place to rehearse. To train. To build. To create. To belong.

A home for CODA Youth, our community theatre, our independent artists, our sets, costumes, classes, workshops, rehearsals and all the wonderfully chaotic things that make CODA, CODA.

Making theatre in Sydney is hard - and right now, it feels harder than ever. We’re watching productions and tours struggle, seasons get cancelled, costs continue to rise and independent artists work incredibly hard just to keep putting work on our stages.

Everything CODA has built so far has been done without grants, ongoing arts funding or major financial backing - just a whole lot of hard work and an incredible community that continues to show up for local theatre.

But this next step is bigger than us.

We’re raising funds towards the deposit to purchase CODA’s first permanent home, and we need your help to get there.

We also know that life is expensive right now. Donating simply isn’t possible for everyone, and that is completely okay. If you can’t donate, please share this post, send our GoFundMe to someone who might be able to help, pop it on your story or simply tell someone what we’re trying to build. Every share gets us in front of someone new.

We already know what CODA can do without a home.
Imagine what we could do with one 🤍

Help us keep theatre alive in Sydney.

There’s a war going on out there somewhere… but tonight, Moscow is ours ☄️💫

CODA is thrilled to announce NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, coming to Sydney in August 2027

Inspired by a scandalous slice of Tolstoy’s War and Peace, Great Comet explodes the boundaries of musical theatre in a dazzling collision of electropop, rock, Russian folk, classical music and immersive storytelling.

It’s messy. Romantic. Dangerous. Decadent.
And unlike anything CODA has done before.

A story of love, loneliness, desire, betrayal and the tiny moments that can completely alter the course of a life.

📅 AUGUST 2027
📍 Sydney
✨ Auditions & creative announcements coming soon.

Raise a glass. Find your place. The comet is coming. ☄️

🌲 Into the woods we go… Introducing Hudson as Rapunzel’s Prince ✨⚔️🥖

Into the Woods marks Hudson’s first show with the Company of Dramatic Arts. He trained at Capital Performance Studios in a variety of dance styles from a young age, but it was his role as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! (EUCMS, 2014) that ignited his passion for the performing arts.

Since then he has starred in a number of stage plays and musicals including; Mr Cocker in Back to the 80’s (Turramurra High School, 2020), Colonel Melkett in Black Comedy (DRAMAC 2023), Jerome/ Mr Spencer in Merrily We Roll Along (UNSW MTS, 2025), David in Company (The Regals, 2025), Crapshooters Ensemble in Guys and Dolls (The Regals, 2026) and, most recently, as Man 1 in Putting It Together (MUSE, 2026). Hudson also has experience in directing, producing, and writing, including; Assistant Producer for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (UNSW MTS, 2025), Production Manager on both The IT (THS, 2022) and Buckets (THS, 2023), Producer for The Friday Night Radio Play (DRAMAC, 2024) and in 2024, he was the sole writer and director for The MAHA Revue, an ancient history themed comedy sketch show.

Into the Woods is a dream show for Hudson, and his fourth Sondheim show in the past 12 months.
