— LIVE SESSION: TIPSEY & THE TONICS, a superb local Sydney band, will be delighting us on Sunday afternoon on 21st June with some sweet jazz for plenty of dancing to finish off your week, ** Tickets on ,

— SQUISH'S FASHION & FABRIC MARKET on Saturday 6th AND 13th June!! Come grab a bargain as Squish culls her life as she prepares to move overseas,

— LINDY HOP weekly classes (7-8pm beginners & 8-9pm intermediate) every Tuesday night,

— BALBOA weekly classes (7-8pm foundations & 8-9pm intermediate) every Wednesday night,

— COLLEGIATE S**G CLASSES on Thursday nights with Bridget & Azi offering 2x hrs of classes and a 30min social dance,

— UPCYCLE & MENDING SEWING CLASS on Sunday 7th June, stay as long as you need, ** Selling Fast!**

TWR Live Session: SAM GHEZZI & BAND

Our weekly Lindy Hop class is on hold for 1 week so we can party 💃🕺

Sam and his band are coming to Australia to perform at Cooly Rocks On, but we get them first! They’re squeezing in their only Sydney show with us 😍

An absolute showman, with multiple bands covering different styles - Check out the Youtube links to all his different bands:

The Roaring Cats: Original arrangements of the finest tunes by the top artists of the 30’s and 40’s. Plus original compositions. Swell notes for hyperactive swing dancers and for sedentary drinking listeners.

The Hi-Stakes: Original tunes, be it a Blue Note Records’ boogaloo or an explosive old school rhythm ‘n blues number.

Sam Ghezzi Blues Band: This band revives 50’s Chicago Blues and Jump Blues.

26th May is World Lindy Hop Day and we were lucky to have our Lindy class on as well!
We taught beginner level a few fun Frankie classics and dances to the lovely Shiny Stockings.
My favourite part of this video is the little chuckles. Having a good time is what it’s all about.

Celebrate World Lindy Hop Day (26th May) at The Wriggle Room!

Shim Sham Workshop at 2pm-3pm, $20, Open level, all welcome.
Then stay for Social Tea Dance, 3pm-5pm, $10, Tea, coffee and snacks on offer, bring a plate to contribute.

What is the Shim Sham?
It is a solo jazz dance routine known world wide to the Lindy Hop community, even the tap dances do the Shim Sham.
This now iconic dance was choreographed by Leonard Reed and Willie Bryant in the late 1920's for a finale of a show, with a few other versions created along the way, such as the Al Minns and Leon James version in the 1950's.
This is a perfect way to be apart of history and work on some foundational solo jazz steps.

Bookings online are always encouraged and open now.
You can also pay at the door and use your class passes.

Entry is INSIDE the Subway foyer upstairs.
Free parking all day on Garners Rd. The carpark is still 2hrs free on Sundays.
